The Drawing Office is an architectural service and was established in 2006 by Ben Marlow to provide local people a friendly and straightforward approach to obtaining Planning Permission and Building Regulations Approval. We also have a huge network of of local trade contacts such as builders, plumbers, electricians and suppliers which we can put you in touch with to make your project a reality.
Ben's initial career started in a small chartered surveyors practice in Exeter and then went on to work for Sir Robert McAlpine. Ben was involved in many major projects across the UK in a senior role. He then switched to architecture and worked for an architectural practice in West London specialising in domestic projects. Ben is a corporate member of the CIOB (The Chartered Institute of Building).

The Drawing Office has been involved in many projects ranging from small alterations from £15,000 to large scale projects to the value of £350,000. We have handled many planning applications and Building Regulation submissions so you can be assured that we know what we are doing and have very good relationships with local planning officers.

The Drawing Office is a popular and friendly, family-run architectural and design practice. We aim to make the process of submitting a planning application as simple as possible. Above all we go out of our way to make sure that the client gets the best service possible. We also offer a Design and Build Service where we deal with the builders, project manage your build, and liaise with the Local Authority.
